It's always fun to try something new. I indulged in a tabletop mushroom kit.
Easy to grow indoors. I guess I assumed they could grow in a dark basement, but these Oyster mushrooms need sunlight. Luckily my cool basement has a SW window.
The kit came and I put it in the refrigerator for several weeks before I set it up.

It comes as a brick with a tent to hold moisture.

Apparently they will start to grow caps.
I'm convinced I have an alien species growing in my basement!
